The 2023 Hanoi Open Pool Championship 9-ball billiard tournament brings together 128 of the world's top players and 128 Vietnamese players, and especially features a performance by legendary player Efren Reyes.

Hanoi Open Pool takes place from October 10 to 15 at My Dinh Indoor Athletics Stadium. This is the first Asian tournament in the prestigious open tournament system of the World 9-Ball Tour, along with the US Open, UK Open, European Open, Spanish Open.
The tournament brings together many world-famous 9-ball billiard players, such as Shane Van Boening, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Fedor Gorst, Jayson Shaw.
With a total prize value of 200,000 USD, Hanoi Open Pool Championship 2023 will have 256 players participating. Of which, 128 players are in the top ranking of World 9-Ball Tour and 128 players passed the qualifying round held in Hanoi from October 2 to 4.
Taking place on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, October 10, the Hanoi Open Pool Championship will be a milestone event for Hanoi.
"Organizing the Hanoi Open Pool Championship is also an opportunity for Hanoi sports organizations to gain more experience and prepare for future city sports tournaments," said Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.

In particular, on the penultimate day of the tournament on October 14, Vietnamese billiard fans will be able to admire the performance of legend Efren Reyes.
Within the framework of the Hanoi Open Pool Tournament, the accompanying tournament Hanoi Junior Open - a playground for the brightest young talents in Southeast Asia to show off their talents in billiards on October 13 and 14.
64 young players under 17 years old from Australia, New Zealand, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, India and young players from Vietnam will compete for a total prize pool equivalent to 10,000 USD.
The 9-ball billiard tournament Hanoi Open Pool Championship 2023 is broadcast live in Vietnam and globally through channels and websites of Matchroom, Vietcontent, and Webthethao.
During the last two days of competition, the matches will be broadcast live and covered globally by Sky Sports along with many other channels/TV stations in other countries such as Viaplay, DAZN, Rigour China.
