This year's Tien Pagoda Festival in Lac Thuy District marked a new milestone when the Huong Binh cable car line was officially put into commercial operation. The cable car line is part of the overall Huong Binh Stream Valley project invested by the Pacific Group.

The cable car route is nearly 3km long, connecting two localities: Phu Nghia commune, Lac Thuy district and Huong Son commune, My Duc district, Hanoi; connecting festival areas such as Huong Pagoda (Hanoi), Tien Pagoda (Hoa Binh) and Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam), put into operation to bring interesting experiences to visitors to Tien Pagoda and Huong Pagoda.
Mr. Doan Van Quang, a tourist from Hoa Binh City, said: This is the first time Hoa Binh province has a cable car. The travel time between two points is shortened from 60 minutes to about 10 minutes, and visitors can enjoy the beautiful and pristine natural scenery from above.
Ms. Hoang Thi Mo, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: Huong Binh cable car route is creating a new attraction for Lac Thuy tourism, contributing to connecting the spaces of many localities, meeting the increasing demand of tourists who want to enjoy quality services.
According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Lac Thuy district, in the first months of 2025, the district welcomed about 50,000 visitors. Of which, the scenic tourist destination of the cave complex in the Tien pagoda area welcomed over 30,000 visitors in the first days of the festival. The Huong Binh cable car system has welcomed many visitors since the 4th day of Tet. The Tien pagoda festival takes place for 3 months, from the 4th day of Tet to the end of the 3rd lunar month. Festival activities are held at the national relic of the cave complex in the Tien pagoda area with 21 relic sites of many types such as: history - culture, scenic spots, archeology.
Lac Thuy district is planned as one of the key tourism development areas of the province, with charming natural landscapes, many scenic spots, and eco-tourism spots that are potential and unique advantages for developing tourism and services. The whole district has 6 national-ranked relics and 11 provincial-ranked relics. These include the Tien Pagoda tourist complex, the Tien Cave archaeological site, the revolutionary historical site of the Money Printing Factory in Chi Ne plantation (Phu Nghia commune); Dong Thot cave archaeological site (Ba Hang Doi town); Niem mountain cave complex (Phu Thanh commune); Luon cave (in Chi Ne town, Yen Bong commune, Dong Tam commune); Thuy Tien cave in Yen Bong commune; Bo hill eco-tourism area in Dong Tam commune... Revolutionary historical relics: Hoang Dong Party Cell (Khoan Du commune), Pathet Lao Radio Station (An Binh commune)... The district has many important traffic routes passing through such as: Ho Chi Minh road, national highway system, connecting provincial roads, adjacent to key tourist areas such as Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Hanoi, which is a great opportunity for the district to attract investment in tourism development.
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Van, Vice Chairman of Lac Thuy District People's Committee, said: Determining tourism development as a key economic sector, in recent years, Lac Thuy district has mobilized all resources to exploit potentials and strengths, and promote attracting investors in the tourism sector. The district's Party Committee and government have taken specific actions to support investors in removing difficulties in investment procedures and site clearance for projects. The district is having many investment projects in the tourism and service sectors, including the investment project to build a complex of sports, culture, entertainment, and high-class resorts combined with aquaculture of TH Group with a registered capital of 148 billion VND; Huong Binh cable car project; Lac Thuy cultural tourism and resort area of Pacific - Hoa Binh Joint Stock Company with a registered capital of over 4 trillion VND; the project to develop tourism infrastructure to support comprehensive growth in the Greater Mekong Sub-region Phase 2, sub-project of Hoa Binh province.
In addition, the district is completing investment procedures for a number of large projects such as: ecological housing, high-end resort and entertainment project in Dong Tam commune of Sun Group Joint Stock Company; Trinh Nu cave ecological urban area in Chi Ne town of GoldSun Framedia Investment Joint Stock Company; high-tech agricultural experience project in Khoan Du commune of Thien Phu Tourism Joint Stock Company... The district continues to strengthen state management of tourism and service activities, support to remove difficulties for projects to be put into operation soon, creating sustainable development.
