In the spring crop of 2024, Ky Phu commune (Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh) continues to build a large field on an area of 60 hectares in Phu Trung village.
Implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee and Plan 537/KH-UBND of Ky Anh district on the implementation of land concentration and accumulation, Ky Phu commune (Ky Anh district) organized a ceremony to break the banks of small plots, forming large plots of 60 hectares in Phu Trung village.
Local authorities and people attended the launch ceremony on the morning of December 23.
Phu Trung village has 200 households engaged in agricultural production on an area of 60 hectares of rice with 1,349 plots. After planning, the whole village has 108 large plots left (a reduction of 1,241 plots), the internal traffic system ensures convenient movement of motor vehicles, the canals ensure irrigation, the flat fields create a large field area of 60 hectares.
People in Phu Trung village leveled and destroyed the banks of the fields to accumulate and arrange the fields.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the people of Phu Trung village went to the fields to level and destroy the banks to accumulate land according to the planning diagram associated with internal irrigation and field sanitation, preparing for the 2024 spring crop production.
Recently, in addition to Phu Trung village, Ky Phu commune has converted land, consolidated fields, and exchanged plots to form a large field in Phu Minh village with a total rice growing area of 66.02 hectares, from 1,768 plots to 116 plots (a decrease of 1,652 plots).

Breaking the banks of the area and plots, forming large fields to create large, flat, uniform fields; with a scientific and reasonable irrigation system; creating specialized production areas with concentrated, favorable conditions for cultivation, care, disease prevention, irrigation, application of scientific and technical advances, mechanization; helping to reduce costs, improve productivity, product quality, production efficiency and increase income for farmers. At the same time, gradually attracting enterprises to invest in agriculture, transferring science and technology, linking production with farming households, cooperatives, promoting the development of large-scale, modern commodity agriculture, associated with sustainable new rural construction.
