Krong Bong District: Providing more than 95 tons of rice seeds for winter-spring crop production 2023 - 2024

From the funding source according to Decree 62/2019/ND-CP of the Prime Minister, Krong Bong district is providing more than 95 tons of rice seeds for people to produce the 2023-2024 winter-spring crop.

Accordingly, in the 2023-2024 winter-spring crop, 3,270 households in 13 communes will be supported with 95 tons of rice seeds to sow on an area of ​​nearly 942 hectares, with a total support cost of 2.2 billion VND.

Of these, 1,664 households received 100% support from the state budget, the rest received 70% support. Depending on the soil conditions in each locality, the rice varieties provided to the people are Dai Thom 8, Q5 and TBR97.

The distribution of rice seeds has helped people have quality rice seeds, reducing initial investment costs. At the same time, it has encouraged farmers to boldly convert new rice varieties into production, contributing to improving the productivity and quality of commercial rice.

It is known that, along with providing rice seeds, people also have access to technical advances and new technologies in rice production through training sessions and demonstration models to gradually improve rice quality, aiming at linking production and product consumption.
