Information on the results of the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the past week shows that by the end of March 28, 2025, the whole country had supported the elimination of 168,027 temporary and dilapidated houses. Of these, 81,607 houses were inaugurated and 86,420 new houses were started. During the week, the country increased by about 11,000 houses (completed and newly built). On average, each locality supported 25 houses/day.

Specifically, housing support for people with revolutionary contributions is 15,491 units (5,815 units completed and 9,676 units started); housing support under the two national target programs is 60,473 units (36,443 units completed and 24,030 units started); housing support under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is 92,063 units (39,439 units completed and 52,714 units started).

Dong Nai Province has decided to approve the need for temporary and dilapidated houses to be eliminated in the area under the Launch Program to serve as a basis for organizing support implementation with a total of 265 houses. Accordingly, there are 20 houses eligible for support, 245 houses are not eligible for support.

Last week, localities also carried out many outstanding activities, including the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

Specifically, to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), the People's Committee of Da Nang City organized the installation of a signboard for a social housing project for people with revolutionary contributions located on Vu Mong Nguyen Street, Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, arranging 209 apartments with an area of ​​65-77 m2/apartment for people with revolutionary contributions in the city.

In Binh Phuoc, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting and directed efforts to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before April 30, 2025, reaching the target 2 months ahead of the province's plan of June 30, 2025.

In Binh Duong, 9 districts/cities in the area simultaneously held groundbreaking ceremonies to build houses for poor households facing housing difficulties. The province strives to complete the construction and repair of at least 50% of temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province by April 30, 2025. Before June 30, 2025, the whole province will complete the program, contributing to the effective implementation of the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide.

Yen Bai strives to complete the goal of eliminating temporary, leaky and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025, practically achieving achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee.

Binh Duong started construction simultaneously to complete the goal of eliminating temporary, leaky and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025.

Tuyen Quang focuses on mobilizing all resources, seeking support and assistance from all levels, sectors, political and social organizations... to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for policy households and poor households. By August 30, 2025, all temporary and dilapidated houses in the province will be built, repaired, completed and put into use.

Ha Nam decided to allocate 13,480 billion VND from the local budget to support housing (in addition to the support level prescribed by the Central Government) to build new houses for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs, poor households, and near-poor households.

Ha Tinh has a good way to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. That is: (i) assigning forces to "sponsor" the area. The forces include "veteran masonry teams", veterans, youth union cadres at all levels, Red Cross, Provincial Farmers' Association, Provincial Women's Union, armed forces... (ii) identifying each locality as a "big construction site" - most localities in the whole province simultaneously started building houses and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

On the morning of March 28, 2025, at the communal house of Kon Jri Xut village (Dak Bla commune, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum), the Ministry of Public Security held a launching ceremony to remove temporary houses, dilapidated houses, and build houses for people in the Central Highlands provinces. The Minister of Public Security agreed to support 84 billion VND to build 1,400 new houses in Kon Tum province to support the locality to complete 100% of the planned targets.

Regarding funding to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households; based on the Resolution of the National Assembly on allowing the use of 5% savings from regular expenditures in 2024 to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households, on March 10, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to allocate VND 4,557.773 billion for localities to implement support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.

As of March 28, 2025, localities have received VND 2,836.8 billion mobilized from the Program to mobilize the whole country to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses from ministries, branches, localities, banks, and corporations, reaching nearly 82% according to the assignment plan of the Central Steering Committee. To date, 21 units have completed 100% of the transfer of support funds to localities.
