Strengthen propaganda for the people, especially those in border areas, about the harmful effects of smuggling, the risk of dangerous infectious diseases, and food safety loss due to illegal transportation and smuggling of animals and animal products from abroad into the country.

Guide farmers to apply livestock farming techniques towards concentrated commodity farming, biosafety, disease safety, and taking advantage of locally available food sources to reduce production costs and improve economic efficiency.

Prioritize the allocation of resources to synchronously and effectively implement measures to prevent and control animal diseases, especially African swine fever, according to the provisions of law. Thanks to good disease control over a long period of time, the livestock industry in Huong Hoa district is recovering and developing again. In the first quarter of 2024, the total livestock herd in the district was over 67,300, an increase of 14.9% over the same period last year.

Based on the restructuring orientation of the livestock industry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, for livestock to develop effectively, the work of building disease-free zones plays a very important role, contributing to minimizing risks and providing safe food sources for the market, especially for the chains linking from livestock farming, slaughtering to processing and consuming products.
