Chip-embedded ID cards have been put into use in daily life, bringing many conveniences to people. One of those conveniences is being able to use ID cards to withdraw money at ATMs.
The application of chip-embedded CCCD to perform cash withdrawal transactions at ATMs has been deployed by a number of banks. With just a few simple steps, customers can withdraw money using chip-embedded CCCD cards at ATMs quite easily.
In order to increase convenience for customers using the bank's products and services, Vietcombank has deployed the service of using CCCD to withdraw cash at Vietcombank ATMs for Vietcombank Connect24 debit cardholders.
Vietcombank is piloting the service of using CCCD to withdraw cash at 2 ATMs. That is ATM (code 10800486) at the Ba Dinh branch - 72 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi and ATM (code 10800074) at the Transaction Office - 198 Tran Quang Khai, Hanoi.
Steps to withdraw cash using CCCD at Vietcombank ATM are as follows:
Step 1: Customer selects 'Cardless transaction'.
Step 2: Select language.
Step 3: Customers choose the transaction "Withdraw money by CCCD" at the ATM.
Step 4: Customers choose the authentication method for withdrawal transactions using CCCD.
Customers can choose 1 of 2 methods: facial authentication or fingerprint authentication.
Step 5: Customers place the chip-attached CCCD card into the reader and perform authentication according to the instructions at the ATM.
Step 6: After successfully verifying the customer's CCCD information, the system will display the customer's corresponding card number on the ATM screen.
Step 7: Customer enters card PIN and makes cash withdrawal transaction as usual.
