According to Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Head of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, this is part of Plan No. 25/KH-UBND dated January 25, 2025 to coordinate the organization of defense exchange activities at the Huu Nghi border gate area (Vietnam) and Huu Nghi Quan (China). During this time, export vehicles will gather at Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park, located in Phu Xa and Thuy Hung communes, Cao Loc district, and will be exempted from parking fees.
To ensure effective regulation, the Management Board has coordinated with the Border Guard, Provincial Police and relevant units to divert traffic and avoid congestion on National Highway 1A and neighboring routes. The authorities will also strengthen security, order and environmental sanitation at the border gate area.
Departments such as Industry and Trade, Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Region VI Customs are required to widely inform businesses and individuals to proactively arrange vehicles according to plan. Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park will also arrange reasonable parking areas, coordinate with functional forces to manage vehicles transparently and scientifically.

Import and export growth is strong
Import-export activities in Lang Son continued to be bustling. On April 10, 2025, a total of 1,746 vehicles cleared customs, with 403 exported vehicles, including 273 fruit vehicles and 130 other cargo vehicles. By 8:00 p.m. the same day, there were 287 vehicles waiting for export, a slight decrease compared to the previous day.
In the first 3 months of 2025, import-export turnover through Lang Son reached 17.8 billion USD, up 24% over the same period. Exports contributed 5.7 billion USD (up 3.69%), imports reached 12 billion USD (up 34.68%). The turnover declared at Lang Son Customs reached 1 billion USD, with local exported goods accounting for about 32 million USD.
Aiming for the big goal
Lang Son aims to achieve an import-export turnover of 65 billion USD in 2025, equivalent to 5.2 billion USD per month in the remaining 9 months. To achieve this, the province is accelerating the completion of border gate infrastructure, implementing the Smart Border Gate Project on dedicated routes in Huu Nghi, and attracting non-budgetary investment.
Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy emphasized that the province has extended customs clearance time, optimized inspection procedures, and closely coordinated with the Chinese side to resolve difficulties. The application of digital technology, such as digital border gate platforms and cashless payments, has also helped improve customs clearance efficiency.
With these efforts, Lang Son hopes to maintain growth momentum, ensure smooth trade and promote sustainable development of border gate economy.
