More than 70,000 women in the capital will perform in ao dai to celebrate the liberation of the capital.

This is an activity within the series of activities of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024 organized by the Hanoi People's Committee to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

To implement the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024, the Hanoi Women's Union organized many response activities such as: Implementing the "Check in Hanoi" Challenge Contest with Ao Dai; launching the Hanoi Ao Dai Month 2024; folk dance performance program and Ao Dai Carnival "Capital Women Integration and Development".

Currently, the Organizing Committee of the "Check in Hanoi" Challenge has received more than 800 entries.

Accordingly, the "Check in Hanoi" Challenge with Ao Dai will be launched from August 6, 2024. This activity attracts a large number of officials, members, women, officials, civil servants, employees, workers, students and people of the capital; people in provinces and cities across the country; international tourists who love the beauty of Hanoi in general and Ao Dai in particular.

The contest photos were taken by the authors at historical sites and scenic spots in Hanoi and especially the characters in the work showed the charm of Vietnamese women in Ao Dai.

Up to now, the Organizing Committee of the Contest has received 825 entries from 459 authors, of which 198 are of high quality. From September 1, 2024, the entries will be posted on the fanpage of the Hanoi Women's Union and tagged with the hashtag #LehoiAodaiDulichHanoi2024 #HoiLienhiepPhunuHaNoi #SoDuLichHaNoi to link to the program's pages.

Along with that, Hanoi Ao Dai Month 2024 will take place from October 1 to October 20, 2024. The launching program is expected to take place at 8:30 a.m. on October 1, 2024 at the Vietnam Women's Museum, focusing on promoting and mobilizing female civil servants, public employees, workers, female intellectuals, female entrepreneurs, female youth, female students of high schools, universities, colleges, and women in the City in suitable conditions to wear Ao Dai at work or participate in events organized by local units. This is a practical activity to arouse love and aspiration to develop the Capital, build a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Capital in each cadre, member, and woman in the Capital.

In particular, on the morning of October 5, 2024, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Women's Union organized a folk dance performance and Ao Dai Carnival "Capital Women Integration and Development".

The program was attended by nearly 1,500 delegates from central ministries, departments, and agencies, city leaders, representatives of several embassies, international organizations, families, ao dai designers, models, children, and representatives of all classes of women in the capital (female artists, female entrepreneurs, female civil servants, female workers, female students, armed forces, female migrant workers, cadres, women's union members, etc.).

The highlight of the program is that at the main bridge of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, 1,000 women of the capital will perform a folk dance with a medley of 3 songs "Hanoi People - Marching to Hanoi - Hanoi's constructions" at 8:00 a.m. on October 5, 2024. At the same time, in 579 communes, wards and towns in the city, more than 70,000 women of all ages in the capital will participate in a folk dance with a medley of 3 songs above.

This is an activity actively implemented and carried out by the cadres and members of the Capital's Women's Union to express the love and pride of the Capital's women in joyfully celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). With this activity, the City Women's Union is coordinating with the Vietnam Record Organization to complete the procedures for establishing a Vietnam Record for this activity.

After the performance at the main bridge of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, nearly 1,500 delegates and women of the capital will participate in the Ao Dai Carnival parade from the Imperial Citadel moving on Hoang Dieu, Hoang Van Thu, and Doc Lap streets.

With the messages "Hanoi - City for Peace", "Proud of Vietnamese Women's Ao Dai", "Elegant and Civilized Capital Women", "Charming Hanoi Ao Dai", "Hanoi - Come to Love", the Ao Dai Carnival and Parade "Capital Women Integrate and Develop" in 2024 will bring new colors, honoring the value of Ao Dai in social life, honoring the elegant and civilized beauty of Capital Women, contributing to promoting the Capital of culture, civilization, modernity, as a safe, friendly and attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
