On May 31, Mr. Huynh Tien Dat, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Thua Thien Hue Province, said that he had just signed a cooperation agreement with the Children of Vietnam (COV) organization on financial support for poor students in Hue.
Accordingly, this cooperation aims to improve living conditions, enhance physical fitness, and increase access to educational services for children in Thua Thien Hue province.
According to the agreement, from now until 2028, COV will support more than 17 billion VND in kind and cash to implement programs such as: building 4-5 new classrooms at preschools in mountainous areas, supporting 40 full scholarships for poor students, supporting 250 partial scholarships for poor students overcoming difficulties...
In addition, COV also committed to supporting 10 water filtration systems to provide clean water to students and communities in disadvantaged areas.
Support 5 containers of nutritious rice porridge for students, people with disabilities, and people in especially difficult circumstances in Thua Thien Hue.
Mr. Huynh Tien Dat expects these projects to improve living conditions, enhance physical fitness and increase access to educational services for people, towards the goal of social equity and sustainable socio-economic development.
"This cooperation is not only an important step forward in improving the quality of life of the community but also demonstrates a spirit of solidarity and noble social responsibility.
We believe that, with the consensus and efforts of both sides, the set goals will be successfully achieved, bringing practical benefits to the people of Thua Thien Hue province," said Mr. Dat.
