ĐNO - On the morning of March 2, the GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center in collaboration with the People's Committee of Hoa Bac Commune (Hoa Vang District) organized a large-scale timber forest planting campaign (economic forest). The activity was attended by more than 100 people including sponsors, the running community and local people of Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages.

Accordingly, 500 large trees (black star species) were planted by local units and people on an area of 4 hectares of community forest in Gian Bi village.
This is the first launch activity of the project "Bringing the forest back to its original state", implemented through funding from the UpRace 2023 community running project.
It is known that in phase 1 of the project (from February to May), GreenViet will coordinate with local authorities and people of Hoa Bac commune to plant about 38,556 forest trees on an area of 26.1 hectares of community forest and forests of households in sub-areas 18, 21, 27.
The total forest area to be implemented in the entire project is about 30 hectares with 39,600 large trees, including species such as black star, green lim, green giổi, and flower lat.
In addition, the launching ceremony of planting large timber forests in Hoa Bac commune is part of the "One million urban trees" program implemented by GreenViet and aims at the goal of the Government's "Planting 1 billion trees" project for the 2021-2025 period and Vietnam's commitment at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP26) on the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
