Scientific workshop on the topic "Advisory work of Central Party agencies in the field of inspection, supervision and enforcement of party discipline over 40 years of implementing the renovation process - Current situation, issues and solutions"

On the morning of May 21, the Scientific Council of the Central Inspection Commission organized a scientific workshop on the topic "Advisory work of Central Party agencies in the field of inspection, supervision, and enforcement of party discipline over 40 years of implementing the renovation process - Current situation, issues and solutions". Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hiep, former member of the Central Inspection Commission, Head of the Project chaired the workshop.

Attending the workshop were comrades: Nguyen Ngoc Lam, former Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Le Van Giang, former member of the Central Inspection Committee; Cao Van Thong, former member of the Central Inspection Committee; representatives of the Central Internal Affairs Committee, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Theoretical Council, etc.

According to the summary report at the Workshop, the advisory work of the Central Party agencies in the field of inspection, supervision and party discipline is an important part of the inspection, supervision and party discipline work, making an important contribution to improving the leadership and governing capacity of the Party. Over nearly 40 years of innovation, this work has achieved many results , contributing to building and rectifying a clean and strong Party, to the overall success of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The content of the advisory work of the Central Party agencies in the field of inspection, supervision and party discipline includes: Issuing, amending and supplementing guidelines, strategies and policies; leading and directing implementation; detecting and handling violations of Party organizations and Party members, etc.

In general, the Central Party agencies have done a good job of advising the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on inspection, supervision, and party discipline work. They have closely followed the content of leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of inspection, supervision, and party discipline work to proactively advise closely, correctly, and appropriately to the practical situation, contributing to the successful implementation of assigned political tasks. The advice has become increasingly focused and key, aiming at innovating inspection and supervision work in the direction of not only focusing on detecting and handling violations, but also focusing on advising on detecting loopholes in policies in order to prevent early, eliminate the causes and origins of violations, and protect cadres who dare to think and dare to do.

Prof. Dr. Mach Quang Thang, former Director of the Department of Science Management, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, spoke at the Workshop.

However, besides the achieved results, the advisory work on inspection, supervision and party discipline still has some shortcomings and limitations such as: The advisory methods and forms are sometimes and in some places not scientific and rigorous; the preparation sometimes does not meet the requirements and is not timely; it does not ensure objectivity, and it does not create unity and transparency between agencies and from the central to local levels...

At the workshop, the comments assessed that the Project had been carried out carefully and seriously, pointing out some limitations, shortcomings and solutions to overcome them in the advisory work on the field of inspection, supervision and party discipline. However , the Project needs to clarify some theoretical and practical issues to continue to improve the results contributing to the effective implementation of inspection, supervision and party discipline; supplement the advisory form, clarify the responsibilities of each Central Party Committee.

In his concluding remarks at the Workshop, Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hiep, former member of the Central Inspection Commission and Head of the Project , thanked and accepted the opinions of the delegates.
