In a solemn and respectful atmosphere , the delegation of the Central Inspection Commission offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people. At the Vi Xuyen Ha Giang front, in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland, with the spirit of "Living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying to become immortal in stone", more than 4 thousand outstanding children from all over the country heroically sacrificed . Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery is the resting place of more than 1,800 martyrs and a mass grave of martyrs , hundreds of martyrs' graves with unidentified information. Due to the fierce nature of the war and the terrain of high mountains, deep valleys, and plowed artillery shells, it is estimated that more than 1,000 martyrs have not been found, exhumed and gathered on the border of Vi Xuyen district. The exploits and names of the heroic martyrs have become immortal, engraved in the history of the nation and forever remembered in the minds of every generation of Vietnamese people.
