On the morning of January 29, the Provincial Journalists Association held a conference to summarize the work in 2023, deploy tasks in 2024 and award prizes in the "Press Contest on the topic of new rural construction in Ninh Binh province in 2023".
Attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Department of Information and Communications; Provincial Journalists Association; leaders, reporters, and members of provincial and central press agencies residing in the area.
In 2023, the Provincial Journalists Association focused on fulfilling its political tasks. The Association's activities have undergone significant changes, with innovations in content and methods of operation, increasingly meeting the legitimate needs and aspirations of the majority of members.
Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and the 10 Articles of professional ethics for Vietnamese journalists, members of press agencies ensure correct political orientation, accurate and timely propaganda of political events of the country and locality, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and bring directives and resolutions into life, actively contributing to the implementation of the province's political tasks.
The Provincial Journalists Association has coordinated with Ninh Binh Newspaper, Ninh Binh Radio and Television Station, creating all conditions for members and reporters to work, publish and broadcast news and articles ensuring comprehensive, bold and timely information on the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, resolutions of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; solutions for direction and management of authorities at all levels to remove difficulties, restore and develop the economy; reflecting the situation in all aspects of the province.
Coordinate and provide quality news and articles to central press agencies to promptly reflect, report and propagate the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, the 13th National Congress of the Party, the socio-economic situation and important activities of the province taking place in 2023 to the majority of people in the province and the whole country.
In 2023, the Provincial Journalists Association directed its branches to successfully complete assigned tasks, achieving and exceeding the set targets and plans. Implementing the Program to support creative activities of high-quality works in 2022 and 2023, 40 excellent works in various types of journalism: Radio, Television, Print, Electronic Newspaper were judged and awarded; The Association admitted 14 new members and organized an award ceremony for 34 members who were awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnam Journalism" Medal by the Vietnam Journalists Association.
During the year, the Provincial Journalists Association had members winning the C prize at the 9th National Award for External Information; 2 consolation prizes at the 41st National Television Film Festival; 1 C prize, 1 consolation prize and 1 collective prize at the National Press Award for Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle)...
In 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association will continue to direct its branches to launch exciting emulation movements, successfully complete assigned tasks, strive to complete and exceed the set targets and plans. In particular, focusing on implementing a number of key tasks: Continuing to promote propaganda work to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels; closely coordinating with press agencies to participate in propaganda, orienting public opinion, contributing to effectively handling media crisis situations related to agencies and units in Ninh Binh province; educating and training members to improve their political level, professional capacity, and professional ethics to increasingly better meet the requirements of innovation and improve the quality of journalism in the new situation; doing a good job of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members. At the conference, the Organizing Committee of the "Press contest on the topic of new rural construction in Ninh Binh province in 2023" summarized and awarded the contest.
The Organizing Committee received 62 entries, including: 15 print works, 12 electronic works, 9 radio works, 22 television works and 4 photojournalism works. As a result, the Organizing Committee selected the best works to award prizes including: 4 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 10 C prizes, 6 encouragement prizes for press categories and some other secondary prizes.
