On March 6, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology officially announced information on regular university enrollment in 2024.
Accordingly, this year the academy plans to recruit 5,200 students for two training facilities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (an increase of 920 students compared to last year).
In particular, the academy plans to enroll and train 22 majors/programs, an increase of 3 majors/programs compared to 2023, namely public relations, game design and development program, and Vietnam - Japan information technology program.
In 2024, the academy will continue to enroll students for high-quality training programs, including information technology, digital marketing, and accounting according to ACCA international standards. The total expected enrollment is about 600.
The Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology maintains four admission methods compared to last year, including direct admission (unlimited quota); admission based on competency and thinking assessment scores (20% of quota); combined admission (30% of quota); admission based on 2024 high school graduation exam results (50% of quota).
With the combined admission method, candidates must meet one of the following conditions:
- Candidates with international SAT certificate with score of 1130/1600 or higher or ACT with score of 25/36 or higher.
- Candidates with IELTS certificate 5.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT 65 or higher or TOEFL ITP 513 or higher.
- Candidates who won consolation prizes in the national excellent student selection exam or participated in the national excellent student selection exam or won first, second, or third prizes in the provincial or centrally-run city excellent student selection exam in the subjects of math, physics, chemistry, or information technology.
- Students majoring in math, physics, chemistry, and computer science at specialized high schools nationwide or specialized programs at key national high schools.
In all three first conditions, candidates must have an average GPA of 7.5 or higher in grades 10, 11, 12 or semester I of grade 12 (if the grade 12 results are not yet available) and have good conduct or better; in the fourth condition, candidates must have an average GPA of 8.0 or higher and have good conduct or better.
International English certificates are converted into English subject scores when considering admission.
Admission method is based on the results of the ability/thinking assessment test, candidates must meet one of the following conditions:
- Have a score of 75 or higher in the 2024 Hanoi National University's competency assessment test.
- Have a score of 600 or higher in the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test.
- Have a score of 50 or higher in the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's 2024 thinking assessment test.
