Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha has just signed a decision on promulgating the framework for the 2024-2025 school year schedule for preschool education, general education and continuing education in the city.

Accordingly, the entire city will hold the opening ceremony on September 5, 2024. Students of kindergartens, general schools and continuing education schools will return to school one week earlier than the opening ceremony date. In particular, first graders will return to school two weeks earlier than the opening ceremony date, which is around August 22.

The Hanoi city's 2024-2025 school year schedule stipulates that schools will finish the first semester before January 18, 2025; complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025; consider recognition of completion of primary school program and recognition of secondary school graduation before June 30, 2025; complete enrollment of first-level classes before July 31, 2025.

The Hanoi city school year schedule framework also clearly states that the 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled for June 26 and 27.
