(Dan Tri) - From April 1, Ducati will close its showroom in Hanoi, leaving only one dealer in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to an announcement from CT-Wearnes, Ducati's distributor in Vietnam, from April 1, the company will close its showroom in Hanoi. This will affect the demand for buying cars of customers in the North, because Ducati is a popular high-end motorcycle brand.
Although the showroom is closed, according to the distributor's representative, maintenance, repair and warranty activities will continue to be maintained at the Ducati Hanoi Service Center (old address). This makes some users like Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hao (Hanoi) temporarily "breathe a sigh of relief".

"For Ducati players, the most important thing is regular maintenance according to the manufacturer's requirements, also known as Desmo. Ducati engines have a complex structure, so belts, bearings, etc. must be regularly checked from 12,000km onwards," Mr. Hao shared.
According to Mr. Hao, there are also many private workshops on the market that accept Desmo for Ducati vehicles, but it is cheaper because they do not charge labor hours like the company. However, players still tend to perform maintenance at the company to ensure technicality and stability.
Therefore, if the company closes the service center in Hanoi, this could affect the customer experience.
Some Desmo milestones of Ducati vehicles such as 12,000km, 24,000km and 36,000km can cost users from 10-40 million VND, depending on the maintenance milestone and vehicle condition (Photo: Nguyen Ngoc Hao).
If you want to buy a new Ducati, users in the North can still order directly from Ho Chi Minh City, and receive the vehicle at the Hanoi service center. However, this will still create difficulties for new players, when there are no available vehicles for reference or test driving.
Ducati entered Vietnam in 2010 and was once the choice of many players when looking for a high-end large-displacement model. However, the "playground" of the Italian car company has gradually narrowed as many other 2-wheel brands have continuously entered Vietnam in recent years, such as Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, BMW Motorrad...
In addition to Ducati, two brands KTM and Husqvarna are also preparing to close their showrooms in Hanoi. Recently, this dealer has continuously launched "clearance" promotions with large discounts, for example, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 model has been reduced from 87 million VND to 119 million VND, cheaper than a large displacement scooter model like the Honda SH350i (from 151 million VND).
