Green Wind – Vietnam’s largest community choir will organize a series of special concerts called “Loving Vietnam 2024” in Hue on June 29 and Hanoi on October 12-13.

In the series of programs marking the 5-year journey of operation, Gio Xanh will introduce to the audience a simple and honest Vietnam through folk melodies, a heroic and elegant Vietnam through epic songs, a modern and integrated Vietnam through the world's musical masterpieces... but above all, a "beloved Vietnam" of all Vietnamese people in all regions of the country, full of pride in their origins, in their homeland, knowing how to love beauty, knowing how to love themselves, loving others, knowing how to give life good things.

Conductor Nguyen Hai Yen, the Green Wind Choir, the Green Wind Band and guest artists will perform about 22 musical works.

In addition, foreign songs such as “Heal the world,” “If we hold on together,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Hana wa saku” … will also be performed by Gió Xanh in “Beloved Vietnam” as a proud affirmation of a modern Vietnamese choir that is integrated with the world.

In particular, this year's program introduces to the audience a choral suite written by a Vietnamese musician, with arrangements for choir and orchestra - a classic genre originating from Europe, combined with the Vietnamese T'rung.

The work tells the story of 5 drops of water from 5 rivers and seas of the world, telling about the place where they were born and raised, and sharing the spirit of humanity, solidarity and love.
