Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir continues to open the second bottom spillway gate

People have anchored floating houses and aquaculture cages in safe shelter areas when the hydroelectric reservoir releases floodwaters.

At 3:00 p.m. on September 4, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir was at 117.05 meters, the water flow to the reservoir was 789 ^m3 /s, the water flow discharged was 1,216 ^m3 /s. The water flow to the reservoir is relatively large. To ensure safety,   Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir continues to open the second bottom spillway gate. Thus, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir opens two bottom spillway gates, with a discharge flow of about 2,000 ^m3 /s.

To ensure safety in production activities and daily life of people in the downstream areas, local authorities urgently notify aquaculture facilities, households, and waterway transport vehicles to proactively take response measures to ensure safety of people and property. People absolutely do not go to the river to collect firewood or catch fish when the flood water on the river rises.
