Implementing the 2024 Work Program, on June 25, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation (term XV) held the 5th Conference chaired by Chairman of the City Labor Federation Nguyen Anh Tuan.
The Conference approved the Reports on: Results of the labor movement and trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, supplementing tasks for the last 6 months of 2024; Results of activities of the Trade Union Inspection Committees at all levels in the first 6 months of the year, supplementing tasks for the last 6 months of 2024; Final settlement of trade union finances in 2023 and preliminary summary of trade union financial work in the first 6 months of 2024; Summary report of activities of Workers' Month in 2024; Implementation of activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; approved the Draft Report on the preliminary summary of 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on innovation of organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation; and Plan to organize the award ceremony of the second Technical Innovation Contest for union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of Hai Phong city, 2023-2024.
Accordingly, closely following the direction of the City Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the program and tasks of trade union work in 2024. In the first 6 months of 2024, the City Labor Federation has focused on strong and creative innovation with many activities to trade union levels, many practical activities, focusing on the grassroots, improving the material and spiritual life of union members and employees.
Notably, the "Sticky rice, sweet soup" contest attracted the attention and response of a large number of female union members and employees both widely and deeply; in response to Workers' Month 2024, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation awarded 1,500 subsidies, supported the construction and repair costs of 25 Trade Union Shelters; changed vehicle oil for 5,000 employees, issued 10,000 swimming tickets with a 30% discount for union members and employees with a total value of 4.5 billion VND...
Implementing the theme of the year "Continuing to focus on developing union members and implementing digital transformation", in the last 6 months of the year, the City Labor Federation focused on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, focusing on establishing a number of grassroots unions; promoting the application of IT, implementing Digital Transformation in the union organization; performing well the representative function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; continuing to implement the project "Trade Union Physical Training Points" from the investment fund for trade union institutions according to the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the City Labor Federation, striving to install at least 150 points in 2024...
At the same time, implement 5 Action Programs to concretize 4 breakthroughs in implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the City Trade Union, the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028.
