(NLDO) – Both children’s families are in very difficult circumstances. After the incident, the local government supported the families in arranging funeral arrangements for the victims.
On February 9, a leader of the People's Committee of Dak Nia commune, Gia Nghia city, Dak Nong province said that a drowning incident had just occurred in Dak Nia commune, causing the tragic death of two children.
According to initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. on February 8, two 3-year-old children, NAT (residing in Dak Nia commune) and TMT (residing in Nghia Duc ward, Gia Nghia city) went to play in the lake area bordering Nghia Duc ward and Dak Nia commune.
After that, when the children did not return, the family and local people split up to search and discovered both of them under the lake.
People brought the two children to shore but NAT died; TMT was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but did not survive until noon on February 9.
The circumstances of both families are very difficult. After the incident, local authorities visited, encouraged and supported the families in arranging funerals for the victims.
