(NLDO) - A couple went into their family's coffee and pepper plantation to remove a surveillance camera, and then people discovered that both of them had died.
On the evening of March 8, a leader of the People's Committee of Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province confirmed that a tragic incident had just occurred in the area in which a husband and wife died in their family's coffee and pepper plantation.
Couple died in coffee plantation, suspected of electrocution
Accordingly, in the afternoon of the same day, Mr. YQ (born in 1987, residing in Thuan An commune, Dak Mil district) and his wife, Ms. HT (born in 1990) went to their family's field in Thuan Nam village, Thuan An commune.
At around 4:30 p.m. the same day, people discovered the couple dead in the field and reported it to the authorities.
According to initial information, Mr. YQ and his wife went to the field to remove a surveillance camera mounted on an iron tree about 10 meters high. While they were removing the camera, the iron tree unfortunately collided with the power grid, causing an electric shock that killed both husband and wife on the spot.
A leader of Thuan An Commune People's Committee said that upon receiving the report, the authorities organized an investigation of the scene.
The victims' families determined that the cause of death was electrocution and refused an autopsy. Authorities have handed over the bodies of the two victims to their families for funeral arrangements.
