In addition, the city also recorded 7 cases of measles, including 6 unvaccinated cases and 1 case with unknown vaccination history. According to the Hanoi CDC, measles cases are on the rise. Patients were recorded sporadically in the area, mainly in young children who were not old enough to be vaccinated or had not been fully vaccinated. It is forecasted that in the coming time, more cases of the disease may be recorded, especially in the last 2 months of the year.

The patient is a 6-month-old child, who has not been vaccinated against meningococcal disease, and developed the disease on October 17 with symptoms of high fever, vomiting, and a rash all over the body. He was admitted to the National Children's Hospital and tested positive for meningococcal disease.
During the week, Hanoi CDC coordinated with relevant units to organize monitoring, investigation and epidemic handling activities in areas with cases and outbreaks. Monitoring dengue fever outbreaks in Ung Hoa, Chuong My, Dong Da, Thach That, Thanh Oai, Thanh Tri. At the same time, monitoring the implementation of the measles-rubella vaccination campaign in communes, wards and towns.
Hanoi CDC recommends that the Centers for Disease Control of districts, towns and cities continue to review the subjects and invite children who are eligible for vaccination in the measles-rubella vaccination campaign for children aged 1-5 years old to prevent and control measles according to the direction of the City People's Committee. Strengthen surveillance of suspected measles rash fever, epidemiological investigation, take samples for testing of 100% of suspected cases, organize zoning, thoroughly handle areas with patients and outbreaks according to regulations.
