While waiting for observation after receiving the dengue fever vaccine, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi (22 years old) shared: "I heard that Vietnam has a vaccine. Luckily, the company showed timely concern, and today I received the dengue fever vaccine right at my workplace, saving me time and giving me peace of mind about disease prevention."
Ms. Pham Thi Thuong, the company's human resources manager, shared that organizing vaccinations is one of the company's new welfare policies aimed at proactively caring for the health of its employees. Employees are an asset to the company, and taking care of each employee's health also contributes to ensuring their peace of mind at work, increasing productivity, and fostering long-term commitment.

These units are very concerned about vaccination safety and the quality and effectiveness of vaccines, arguing that dengue fever is a dangerous disease, and if vaccination is necessary, it needs to achieve optimal effectiveness and minimize the risk of post-vaccination reactions.
In just over three months, more than 50 agencies, businesses, and organizations have registered to vaccinate their employees against dengue fever. The number of people vaccinated ranges from a few dozen to several hundred.
According to VNVC Vaccination System, in just the first month of dengue fever vaccination in Vietnam, more than 100,000 children and adults have been vaccinated or have had their vaccinations reserved.
Besides dengue fever, the demand for influenza vaccines and the new pneumococcal 23 vaccine from businesses has also increased, especially towards the end of the year when respiratory illnesses begin to peak.
Prevent disease outbreaks and save costs.
According to Ms. Pham Hong Thuy, Customer Care Director of VNVC Vaccination System, in recent years, Vietnamese businesses have increasingly focused on protecting the health and building a safe working environment for their employees. Vaccination not only demonstrates practical care for the physical and mental health of employees but also helps ensure a stable labor supply chain, reducing the number of sick leave hours.
On-site vaccination saves companies and employees travel time.
Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of the VNVC Vaccination System, said that crowded, enclosed working environments pose a high risk of disease outbreaks.
Dengue fever treatment is expensive, and in cases not covered by insurance, the cost can reach hundreds of millions of dong, causing significant financial burden for workers with low incomes.
According to Doctor Chinh, vaccines are considered a new, effective, and cost-effective weapon in preventing dengue fever, alongside traditional measures such as eliminating mosquito larvae and preventing mosquito bites.
The dengue fever vaccine, manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceuticals (Japan), has an effectiveness rate of over 80% in preventing the disease and up to 90% in reducing the risk of hospitalization. It is administered to children aged 4 years and older and adults (with no upper limit). Notably, the vaccine can simultaneously protect against four dengue virus serotypes (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, DEN-4), preventing both the disease and the risk of reinfection.
"VNVC, with over 200 modern vaccination centers nationwide, is safely administering dengue fever vaccines on a large scale, and we are particularly noticing a very high demand for pre-orders," said Dr. Chinh.
Ms. Pham Hong Thuy added that there are 4 main warehouses and more than 200 cold storage facilities for vaccines that meet international GSP standards right on-site, committing to providing sufficient quantities of vaccines to meet the vaccination needs of agencies and businesses.
"We have a team of professional doctors, nurses, and medical staff across the country, a well-trained mobile vaccination process, a vaccination line that ensures all steps are followed as required by the Ministry of Health , and a system for handling post-vaccination reactions on-site… With our nationwide capacity, the center has organized thousands of mobile vaccination campaigns very quickly and safely," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
