The 6th Cham Cultural Festival will take place from September 27-29 in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, Ninh Thuan province.
With the theme “Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the period of national integration and development”, the 6th Cham Cultural Festival has the participation of 9 provinces and cities: Ninh Thuan, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Quang Nam, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the Festival, many practical activities will take place to honor and introduce the traditional cultural values of the Cham people to domestic and international friends.
That is the performance, introduction of excerpts of festivals, traditional cultural rituals of the Cham ethnic group in front of the Cultural Exhibition Space of the provinces at the 16/4 Square area, Phan Rang - Thap Cham city; festivals, traditional cultural rituals simulate the general characteristics of the folk cultural beliefs of the Cham ethnic group, expressing the national cultural identity.
In addition, the exhibition space introducing and promoting traditional cultural products of the locality will contribute to reflecting the rich and diverse Cham ethnic culture in the unity of Vietnamese culture; achievements in production, construction, national defense, socio-economic development, national security and defense and building community cultural life.
Each province and city participating in the Festival will participate in the Mass Arts Festival and perform Cham ethnic costumes with folk songs, dances, music, solos, and instrumental ensembles imbued with their own identity.
In addition, there is a seminar on tourism with the theme "Promoting the value of Cham cultural heritage in tourism development"; exhibition "Cultural characteristics of Cham people in the cultural community of Vietnamese ethnic groups"; photo exhibition on the colors of Cham ethnic culture; exhibition of fine art paintings on Cham ethnic culture...
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that the event will contribute to honoring and introducing the traditional cultural values of the Cham people to domestic and international friends; thereby, promoting the image of Vietnam as a country rich in cultural identity, with unity and harmony among ethnic groups.
