Meeting with exemplary Military - Civil - Government delegates on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Dinh province

(BD) - In the jubilant atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025), on the afternoon of March 30, at the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province solemnly organized a meeting with exemplary Military - Civil - Government delegates.

Comrade Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired and delivered a speech at the meeting. Attending the meeting were Colonel Luong Dinh Chung - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 5; leaders, former leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, branches, associations, unions; representatives of historical witnesses who are heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces; outstanding cadres and soldiers participating in the resistance war against France, against the US and directly participating in the Provincial Liberation Campaign...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that today's meeting is an opportunity for everyone to review the heroic years of the past half century, respect and honor the glorious historical journeys that the army and people of Binh Dinh have gone through.

In particular, the victory over the enemy and the liberation of Binh Dinh province in the spring of 1975 was the crystallization of the close coordination between the main units and the local armed forces, including provincial, district and guerrilla units. With the spirit of self-reliance and resilience, the army and people of Binh Dinh fought bravely, persistently held their ground, restrained and destroyed the enemy, making an important contribution to the overall victory and the liberation of the entire province without waiting or relying on superior forces.

“Today is also an opportunity to express our deep gratitude to the generations of Military - Civil - Government, those who sacrificed their blood and bones, devoted their youth and personal happiness to the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland. At the same time, this is also a message to today's young generation: Please cherish, preserve and promote the noble historical values, glorious traditions that our ancestors built with all their heart, sweat and blood,” said comrade Pham Anh Tuan.

The head of the provincial government also affirmed that, promoting the tradition of patriotism and the spirit of self-reliance, after 50 years of construction, development and innovation, the province has achieved great and important achievements, from a locality with many difficulties, heavily affected by the war, Binh Dinh has risen to become one of the dynamically developing provinces in the region.

“Proud of the glorious Tay Son tradition, Binh Dinh is not only recorded in history but is also gradually affirming its position on the development journey. This land rich in identity will certainly flourish more and more, reaching far and wide, becoming a symbol of prosperity, prosperity and happiness,” the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized.

At the meeting, delegates listened to comrade Vo Lua - a veteran who directly participated in the battle to liberate Quy Nhon town in 1975, and Ms. Le Thi Hoa - a representative of the family who hid revolutionary cadres during the resistance war against the US, share about how they lived and fought during the difficult, dangerous but heroic years; listened to Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Chu Khanh - Assistant to Mass Affairs (Provincial Military Command) and Dr. Le Mong Huyen - lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Accounting (Quy Nhon University) express what today's young generation must do to be worthy successors to the revolutionary cause left by previous generations...
