Meeting on internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption and religious work in the first quarter

On the morning of April 4, Comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference on internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and religious work in the first quarter, and deployed tasks for the second quarter of 2024.

Attending the conference were comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; delegates of the Central Internal Affairs Committee monitoring the area; members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform; leaders of agencies and units under the Internal Affairs sector; leaders of districts and cities.

In the first quarter, under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, all levels and sectors have been active, proactive, determined, innovative, focused and key in implementing political tasks right from the beginning of the year and achieved important results.

Notably, the political security situation and social order and safety in the province are stable and maintained, especially during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin; 100% of the military recruitment target for 2024 is completed; crime is strictly controlled; absolute safety is ensured for political and cultural events, and delegations of Party and State leaders visiting and working in the province.

The work of propagating, disseminating and thoroughly understanding the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform continues to be strengthened and has many positive changes.

Party committees and authorities at all levels have strengthened their leadership and direction over internal affairs agencies. The organization and apparatus of judicial agencies have continued to be consolidated and improved. The quality of investigation, prosecution, trial, execution of sentences, and arrest, detention, and rehabilitation have been ensured in accordance with the law, preventing injustice and letting criminals escape. The effectiveness of public reception and complaint and denunciation settlement has been enhanced.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs, and the Provincial People's Committee have strengthened State management of beliefs and religions, especially the organization of religious festivals at the beginning of the year and during the festival season; proactively coordinated to consider and resolve legitimate requests from religious organizations and arising incidents.

At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved in internal affairs, judicial reform, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and religious work in the first quarter; proposed tasks and solutions to implement tasks in the second quarter of 2024.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan affirmed that the results achieved in the fields of internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity, judicial reform and religious affairs in the first quarter have actively contributed to ensuring political security, social order and safety and implementing the socio-economic development tasks of the province.

Regarding the key tasks in the second quarter, in addition to regular tasks, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, heads of agencies and units to grasp the situation, especially issues that are arising or have just arisen, to promptly prevent them early and from afar, and resolutely not to let "hot spots" form suddenly and unexpectedly.

Along with that, promote digital transformation in judicial reform, internal affairs and religion. Promote the responsibility of leaders and elected representatives in receiving people, resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens right at the grassroots level. Closely follow the key tasks and major events of the province and the whole country to effectively carry out internal affairs, ensure political security, social order and safety, judicial reform and religious affairs.

Regarding the issue of religion, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels pay attention to resolving the relationship between quantity and quality in the work of developing religious party members; strengthen propaganda and mobilize people and religious followers to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
