Supervise the management, use and arrangement of public assets such as houses and land at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This morning, October 9, the monitoring delegation of the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Quang Tri province, led by Vice Chairman of the People's Council Nguyen Tran Huy, had a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to monitor the implementation of policies and laws on management, use and rearrangement of public assets such as houses and land in the period of 2018 - 2024.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the department and public service units including: Provincial Traditional Art Troupe; Provincial Culture - Cinema Center; Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center; Provincial Library; Provincial Monuments and Museum Management Center are managing 916,002 ^m2 of land and 55,674.6 ^m2 of houses.

Up to now, basically, the units under the Department have managed and used houses and land in accordance with regulations; have reviewed and proposed appropriate solutions to the actual situation, avoiding loss and waste of assets.

Units that have been granted land use right certificates and are assigned to continue using the land and housing facilities in Decision No. 1230/QD-UBND dated May 24, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee, serve as a basis for units to develop projects to use public assets for leasing and joint venture purposes. At the same time, serve as a legal basis for units to manage and use public assets effectively and in accordance with regulations.

In addition to the results, the exploitation, cooperation and association in exploiting public assets of public service units still face difficulties due to high land taxes and the legal basis for the assets of some units is not guaranteed. The completion of the dossier for transferring real estate facilities in Quarter 4, Ward 5, Dong Ha City encountered difficulties in planning, land use plans, and land recovery decisions to implement the Project to Complete the Technical Infrastructure of the Square and Campus of the Quang Tri Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center...

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the Provincial People's Council consider and approve the transfer of the land lot at 01 Nguyen Binh Khiem, Dong Ha City of the Department to the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center for management and use. At the same time, propose that the Provincial People's Council strengthen the supervision of planning and implementation of land use management according to the planning, and supervise the management of public assets such as houses and land in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Tran Huy highly appreciated the management and use of public assets such as houses and land in the period of 2018 - 2024 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Department is requested to fully absorb the opinions expressed at the working session to develop and complete the overall report to send to the monitoring delegation; proactively coordinate with departments and branches to carry out procedures for transferring assets and managing land use of the unit; coordinate with relevant localities to effectively manage and use public assets such as houses and land under the management of the unit in accordance with the law.
