After the 5th Congress of Nghia Trung Ward Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 ended on February 14, Gia Nghia City Party Committee held a meeting to review experiences throughout the Party Committee.
Comrade Vo Pham Xuan Lam, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Gia Nghia City Party Committee, assessed that the model congress and pilot direct election of grassroots-level secretaries of Nghia Trung ward for the 2025-2030 term had completed all the proposed contents and was a great success. Gia Nghia determined that the world and domestic situation is forecast to continue to change rapidly and unpredictably, with opportunities, advantages, challenges, and risks intertwined, affecting the building and implementation of socio-economic development goals.
Therefore, Gia Nghia synchronously implements solutions to remove difficulties and promote economic growth. The city promotes the potential and strengths of Gia Nghia urban area to develop the economy quickly and sustainably.
Gia Nghia sets a target of 7,725 billion VND in total production value in 2025; 1,198 billion VND in total state budget revenue; and 584 billion VND in budget expenditure.
“The city will speed up the completion of a number of projects with great impact to create momentum for socio-economic development. The city will mobilize resources to invest in developing transport and urban infrastructure,” said Gia Nghia City Party Secretary Vo Pham Xuan Lam.
Gia Nghia will proactively coordinate with the province's functional agencies to promptly deploy related contents, ensuring progress. key projects in the area.
The city focuses on removing obstacles in site clearance, arranging resettlement for affected households and repairing Ho Chi Minh road through Gia Nghia city to ensure traffic and transportation of goods.
The city continues to strengthen investment management from the State budget, improving investment efficiency. The city mobilizes maximum social resources for development investment through the application of diverse forms of investment in infrastructure construction.
“We create favorable conditions for businesses to implement projects, especially removing difficulties of large, key projects that have great contributions to growth and have spillover effects on the city's development. The city will speed up the completion of a number of projects with great influence to create momentum for economic and social development. The city continues to promote the application of advanced and modern technology in production. Encourage enterprises, cooperatives and people to effectively implement planning and organize production to develop concentrated raw material areas associated with processing and export industries.
Social security
Gia Nghia City aims to create jobs for 2,650 workers by 2025; provide vocational training for 600 workers. The rate of trained workers is 80%.
The rate of people of working age participating in social insurance is 44.5%. Gia Nghia strives to reduce the poverty rate to below 0.2% (according to the poverty standard for the period 2022-2025).
Gia Nghia sets a target of 75% of wards and communes meeting national health standards; the expanded vaccination rate for children under 1 year old is over 95%. 95% of the population participates in health insurance. The rate of stunted children under 5 years old is under 22.4%.
Strive for a 96% urban waste treatment rate. 100% main street lighting rate. 100% main street trees rate. 78% urbanization rate. 100% population using sanitary facilities. 100% villages and hamlets with national grid electricity. 100% households using electricity.
The city also set a target for Dak Nia and Dak R'moan communes to achieve 19/19 advanced new rural targets. Forest coverage rate is 8.07%; land use rights settlement is 95% or more.
The rate of asphalted and concreted roads in the whole city reached 77.5%. The rate of asphalted and concreted urban roads was 100%. The rate of asphalted and concreted rural roads reached 68.8%.
