This stability reflects the abundant supply of pigs, while consumer demand has not shown signs of strong growth after the Lunar New Year holiday. Livestock farms are trying to keep prices at the floor to avoid losses, but pressure from the slow consumption market may continue to affect pig prices in the coming time if there is no improvement in demand.

Although the decrease in Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa is not too large, this reflects that consumption demand in the region is still weak, especially in coastal provinces such as Khanh Hoa, where unfavorable weather is affecting the circulation of goods. If this situation persists, pig prices in the region may continue to be under downward pressure in the coming time.

Pig price forecast for tomorrow, March 22, 2025, may recover slightly
Based on comments from experts and businesses in the industry, the price of live pigs tomorrow, March 22, 2025 in Vietnam is likely to increase slightly in some areas, especially in provinces where prices are approaching the lowest level of the month such as Quang Tri (71,000 VND/kg), Lao Cai (72,000 VND/kg) or Khanh Hoa (73,000 VND/kg).
If purchasing power at traditional markets and supermarkets improves over the weekend, the price of live pigs could increase by VND500-1,000/kg, bringing the price in these provinces to around VND71,500-72,000/kg, VND72,500-73,000/kg and VND73,500-74,000/kg, respectively. Meanwhile, other regions such as the North (VND72,000-73,000/kg) and the South (VND78,000-79,000/kg) could remain stable or increase slightly if consumption demand improves.
However, pressure from high feed prices is causing many small farms to reduce their herds, reducing supply in the near future. This could support a slow but sustainable recovery in pig prices in the coming time, especially if market demand continues to improve.
