Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on January 28, 2025 |
Vietnamese coffee, with the world's second largest export volume, has asserted its position in the global market. According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), coffee export turnover in 2024 is estimated to exceed 6 billion USD, showing the strong development of the Vietnamese coffee industry.
However, a notable fact is that the presence of Vietnamese coffee in the international market is still mainly in its raw form. Most of the coffee is exported in the form of raw materials, lacking added value and its own brand. This not only reduces profits for domestic producers but also makes Vietnamese coffee unable to gain a solid foothold in the hearts of global consumers.
Meanwhile, quintessential Vietnamese coffee brands are still quite modest. The lack of strong brands has affected the competitiveness of Vietnamese coffee in the market. To overcome this situation, the coffee industry needs to focus on building brands, improving product quality and developing deeply processed products to meet the increasing demand of the market.
In fact, to increase the value of Vietnamese coffee in the world market, businesses and farmers need to cooperate closely, invest in processing technology, marketing and build brand image. Only then can Vietnamese coffee reach further, not only in terms of output scale but also in brand value on the global coffee map.
