Due to the impact of storm No. 3, Ha Hoa district experienced heavy rain and water from upstream, causing the Thao River to rise rapidly, flooding some areas. At 8:00 a.m. on September 9, at Am Thuong Hydrological Station, the water level had reached over 27m, exceeding the alarm level No. III by over 1m.
Bang Gia market and many households along the river, Bang Gia commune were flooded due to rising water level of Thao river.
According to a quick report from the District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN), as of 8:00 a.m. on September 9, there were no casualties in Ha Hoa district, but the flood caused the roof of one house to be blown off, the fences of two schools to collapse, and damaged 237 hectares of agricultural and forestry crops. The rising water level of the Thao River forced nearly 289 households in low-lying areas and riverside areas in the communes of Bang Gia, Xuan Ang, Dan Thuong, Hien Luong, etc. to evacuate on the night of September 8; in addition, 136 households were at risk of having to evacuate.

In Ha Hoa district, the water level at Lao stream also rose rapidly and overflowed National Highway 70B, causing flooding at km 26 + 800 of National Highway 70B and Mong Cay bridge in zone 6, Vo Tranh commune. The authorities have directed traffic to Ha Hoa and Yen Lap.
Many households in Zone 3, Hien Luong Commune were deeply submerged in water.
Faced with the above situation, Ha Hoa district has conducted inspections at key points and localities affected by rising river water in Hien Luong, Dan Thuong, Bang Gia, Dan Thuong communes...; directed localities, especially communes in low-lying areas and riverside areas, to well implement the 4-on-the-spot motto, quickly deploy forces, materials, and means to organize the evacuation of households from dangerous areas due to flooding; mobilize shock forces, help people overcome damage after storms and floods, harvest crops for the Summer-Autumn crop, clean up fallen trees, place warning signs, and ensure traffic safety. Floods are still complicated, Ha Hoa district requires departments, agencies, and units of the district to regularly monitor weather information, be ready to respond to natural disasters, and be on duty 24/7 in accordance with regulations, ensuring the safety of lives and property for the State and the people.
