– On February 17 (January 8, Giap Thin year), Tan My Commune People's Committee, Van Lang district organized the traditional festival of Ta Lai Pagoda in 2024.
Ta Lai Pagoda (also known as Thanh Huong Pagoda or Flying Buddha Pagoda) has been ranked as a provincial historical and cultural relic. Located on the mountainside in Ta Lai village, Tan My commune, about 15km south of Van Lang district center. Ta Lai Pagoda was built in the 18th century by a female admiral of the Nguyen Dinh family, following Duke Nguyen Dinh Loc. It is a small pagoda nestled in a cave on the mountainside. The main facade faces southwest. The system of altars is arranged in the style of the Mother Goddess and the Buddha. Currently, Ta Lai Pagoda still preserves some worship objects, a stone stele named "Thanh Huong Linh Tu", and a system of statues made of baked materials.

The festival was held right at Ta Lai Pagoda, attracting a large number of visitors from near and far to attend the festival. According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, the festival attracted nearly 3,000 visitors to the festival and go to the pagoda at the beginning of the year to pray for luck and peace, an increase of nearly 1,000 people compared to the 2023 festival season. This is also one of the major festivals of Van Lang district, attracting a large number of visitors to worship, pray for luck, and attend the spring festival. According to the Organizing Committee, thanks to good security, order, and traffic safety, by the end of the festival, security, order, and traffic safety were ensured.

The Ta Lai Pagoda Festival aims to continue to preserve and promote the identity of national cultural values; contribute to enhancing the cultural enjoyment of the community; thereby creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere at the beginning of the New Year, praying for favorable weather and rain for all labor and production activities of the people in the new year. Immediately after the ceremony, the festival took place with unique folk games.
