Bac Kan Provincial Stadium Construction Project Adjusts Completion Time to the End of 2025

The project to build the Provincial Stadium and auxiliary items was approved by the People's Committee of Bac Kan province for the feasibility study report on construction investment in Decision No. 684/QD-UBND dated April 18, 2023 with a total construction investment of 252 billion VND from the central budget and provincial budget; Project implementation period from 2023 to 2025. According to the report of the People's Committee of Bac Kan city, currently, the leveling work has reached 92%, the drainage system has been completed. The project is behind schedule compared to the plan, the construction process has encountered many obstacles. The main reason is the impact of natural disasters, especially storm No. 3 causing prolonged heavy rain, along with many obstacles in site clearance; up to now, there are still 30 households and 2 organizations that have not been able to hand over the land due to waiting for re-approval of compensation unit prices according to the 2024 Land Law.

In the face of the above situation, the People's Committee of Bac Kan city has proposed to adjust the progress of the design consultancy and document review packages to September 30, 2025; the construction and leveling package and construction insurance to December 10, 2025. The adjustment has also been approved by the Provincial People's Committee on the condition that it does not exceed the signed contract price and does not increase the total investment.

To ensure the progress of the Project, the Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committee of Bac Kan city to be responsible for promoting the progress, ensuring the quality of the project, avoiding budget waste; the Department of Finance is responsible for reviewing and advising to implement the next steps in accordance with regulations./.
