This is a level I, group B energy project invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation, managed by SPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 4.

The Dinh Quan 220 kV transformer station and the connecting 220 kV line are built on land in Phu Vinh commune, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province (about 4km from the center of Dinh Quan district). The station location and the direction of the connecting line have been agreed upon by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in Document No. 8756/UBND-KTN dated July 31, 2019.

Dinh Quan 220kV transformer station has a scale of newly building 220/110 kV substation including 2 transformers 250MVA with a total capacity of 500 MVA. The 220kV side has a scale of 10 bays, this phase installs equipment for 7 bays, reserve locations for 3 bays. The 110kV side has a scale of 18 bays, this phase installs equipment for 9 bays, reserve locations for 9 bays. The 22kV side has outdoor equipment arranged according to the power supply block diagram for self-use.

Control, protection, measurement, metering, communication and SCADA systems are equipped in accordance with EVN and EVNNPT regulations.

The 220kV connecting line section is newly constructed with 2 double-circuit lines to connect the 220kV Dinh Quan substation to the 220kV Bao Loc - Song May line with a total length of about 0.5km.

The 220kV Dinh Quan transformer station and connection project were put into operation to ensure power supply for the increasing loads of Dong Nai province in general and Dinh Quan district in particular; meeting the needs of economic and social development of Dong Nai province and neighboring areas. The project helps reduce the load on 220/110kV transformers at the existing 220kV transformer station and reduce the load on 110kV lines in the area, contributing to ensuring the N-1 criteria, improving the reliability and safety of power supply to the regional grid.
