On April 12, Tam Binh Ward Police (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) invited and took statements from about 10 students of Thai Van Lung Secondary School (on Phu Chau Street, Tam Phu Ward, Thu Duc City) to clarify the images in the clip of a group beating of a female student that spread on social networks.
These are female students in grades 6 and 7 of the school, so taking statements must have a guardian, a parent, and a school representative present.

The initial cause was determined to be that the female students had a conflict over a promise to give them money. On the afternoon of April 11, female students in grades 6 and 7 of Thai Van Lung Secondary School made an appointment to meet at an empty lot in Tam Binh Ward to resolve the matter. There, a group of female students used their hands, feet, and helmets to assault a female student. The victim could only cover her face and was bleeding profusely. The group of female students also assaulted a male student who was with the victim.

After the beating, the group of students dispersed. A student present at the scene used his phone to record the incident.
Immediately after the information spread on social media, the police intervened and invited those involved to the headquarters for questioning. The family, in coordination with the school, took the two victims to the hospital for examination.
Thu Duc City Department of Education also coordinated with Thai Van Lung Secondary School to grasp the incident and handle the violating students.
