In the context of strong growth in electricity demand in Thanh Hoa province, the development of an investment plan to build projects to improve the operating capacity of the low-voltage grid, reduce power loss and reduce the number of low-voltage customers will contribute significantly to improving the quality of electricity supply to customers.
In recent years, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has focused on investing in and renovating the power system, gradually modernizing the power grid to meet the increasing load demand of production, business and people's daily life. In 2024 and up to January 2025, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has energized and put into operation 6 110kV transformer stations, increasing the capacity and improving the transmission capacity of a number of 110kV transformer stations and existing power lines. The Company continues to implement a series of key projects, focusing on: Renovating and upgrading the 110kV power grid, medium and low voltage power lines; building many new load transformer stations; synchronously renovating the low voltage power grid in many areas in the province, especially industrial, tourism, service zones as well as remote mountainous districts.
In 2025, Thanh Hoa Power Company will continue to increase investment, renovate and modernize the power grid with a series of projects to upgrade medium and low voltage power grids; build new 110kV transformer stations, renovate 35kV and 22kV lines to improve power transmission capacity; implement projects to eliminate intermediate transformer stations and 10kV power grids; develop investment plans to improve the capacity of operating the low voltage power grid with a volume of over 962 transformer stations. To concretize the action program, from the beginning of the year, the company has made a report to the Northern Power Corporation on prioritizing capital sources to implement the Investment Project to build works to improve the capacity of operating the low voltage power grid, reduce power loss and reduce the number of low voltage customers. The project aims to improve the capacity and quality of electricity for customers in the area, especially for rural grid areas that the electricity sector has received from previous retail organizations.
In order to prepare a report that is close to reality, comprehensive, and highly feasible, the Board of Directors of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has given specific and drastic instructions, and at the same time directly worked with affiliated power units on the current operation of the power grid system, forecasted areas with high growth potential, reported, and proposed reasonable and effective investment and renovation plans.
Hau Loc District is currently an area attracting investment from businesses. Residential areas are increasingly developing, population density is increasing, leading to rapid and high load growth, which also causes transformer stations to operate at full load and overload during peak electricity hours. To ensure stable power supply in 2025 and the following years, Hau Loc Power Company proposes to prepare a report on investment items to prevent overloading of transformer stations in the town area and the communes of Tien Loc, Thanh Loc, Hai Loc, Loc Son; renovate 4 10kV roads to operate at 22kV before the 110kV Hau Loc 2 transformer station is put into operation; build a new 22kV road before the 110kV Hau Loc 2 transformer station is put into operation...
Similarly, the socio-economic situation of Nga Son district in recent years has been developing rapidly, people's lives have been improved, the demand for high-capacity electrical equipment has increased rapidly, besides, the electrical infrastructure in some places has not been invested in upgrading or renovating for a long time, leading to a state of degradation, damage, ineffective operation, not enough to ensure the daily life of the people, especially the situation of power overload during peak hours. To overcome the above problems, Nga Son Electricity is urgently inspecting and reviewing the entire power grid system in the district to prepare a report on investment in upgrading and repairing the power grid infrastructure to prevent overload.
From the urgent and drastic participation, right after the plan "Investment in construction of projects to improve the capacity of operating the low-voltage grid, reduce power loss and reduce the number of low-voltage customers" in the province was approved by the Northern Power Corporation, Thanh Hoa Power Company and its affiliated power units fully prepared human resources and materials, focusing on completing the project in the shortest time and with the highest quality. With the efforts in investing, renovating and modernizing the power grid, we believe that Thanh Hoa's power grid system will be increasingly stable, meeting the needs of customers, creating a strong driving force to promote the socio-economic development of the province.
