As the reigning world champions, the Sepak Takraw team is expected to win a gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 19th ASIAD. In the final match, coach Tran Thi Vui and her team will face Indonesia. Previously, in the group stage, the Vietnamese team had defeated this opponent.
The Indonesian players showed that they were on par with the Vietnamese team. In the first game, the archipelago team was constantly leading. Nguyen Ngoc My and her teammates made many mistakes, seemingly due to psychological pressure, and lost 18-21.
