On the morning of September 7, the Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province Police received a letter from Mr. Tran Van Khanh (born in 1993, residing in Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City).
In the letter, Mr. Khanh expressed his emotion and thanked the Traffic Police of Thua Thien Hue Province after he and his father were supported and helped by officers and soldiers at this unit on their way home.
Mr. Tran Van Khanh said that on the afternoon of September 6, he was riding a motorbike with his 4-year-old son from Da Nang City to his hometown in Quang Binh Province. When he reached Km 20+800 of National Highway 1A, the Hue City bypass, it was raining heavily.
The Traffic Police Team of Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien Hue Province, was on duty in this area and discovered Khanh and his son walking their motorbike in the rain. The young child was tired. The Traffic Police Team came to inquire and took Khanh and his son to a place to rest to avoid the rain.
At the same time, a traffic police officer in the team ran to a nearby gas station to buy gas for Mr. Khanh's motorbike and provided him with bread, milk, and water, helping the father and son continue their journey home.
“The timely help of the Traffic Police officers of Thua Thien Hue Province Police made my father and I very grateful and touched.
I would like to thank the traffic police officers and soldiers on duty on the road for wholeheartedly helping unfortunate road users like my father and I," Mr. Khanh wrote in the letter.
