Chelsea have not been in consistent form this season but they have played very well against opponents in the top 4. After drawing with Liverpool, Arsenal and beating Tottenham, the Stamford Bridge team continued to create an impressive performance when hosting Man City in round 12 of the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino's men played exactly as they did to Arsenal not long ago. Chelsea calmly neutralized their opponents' attacks and responded at high speed when their opponents exposed gaps in their backline.

The home team had more shots than their opponents in the first half. Meanwhile, despite facing many difficulties against Chelsea's tight defense, Man City also created dangerous opportunities. The audience witnessed a duel between the two teams with consecutive goals.
Man City scored first with a penalty from Erling Haaland. Chelsea responded immediately and after about 15 minutes of conceding, Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling scored to give the home team a 2-1 lead. However, Manuel Akanji equalized for Man City in first-half stoppage time.
Chelsea and Man City have an exciting match.
After the break, the two teams continued to maintain an attractive attacking game. Haaland put Man City ahead in the first attack of the second half after a "set-up" pass from Julian Alvarez. The situation changed compared to the first half when Chelsea pushed up their formation to put pressure while Man City created opportunities from counter-attacks.
Chelsea's efforts brought them an equaliser in the 67th minute. Nicolas Jackson scored for the home team after Conor Gallagher's long-range shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. Man City attacked, Chelsea counter-attacked. The chances continued to appear and so did the goals.
Man City took the lead again in the 85th minute. Rodri's long-range shot deflected off Thiago Silva and went straight into the Chelsea goal, with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez helpless as he ran in the opposite direction. However, that was not the last goal of the match.
Coach Pochettino sent Armando Broja on to attack with all his might. The striker won a penalty for Chelsea in stoppage time. Cole Palmer scored against his former team to help Chelsea regain a point at home.
