The Board of Directors of Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company (Becamex IJC - stock code IJC) has just approved changing the 2022 dividend payment date to December 20 instead of October 6 as previously announced. The reason is that due to the difficult real estate business situation and slow debt collection, the company does not have enough money to pay dividends.
Previously, Becamex IJC announced the closing of the list to pay 2022 cash dividends at a rate of 14%, equivalent to shareholders owning 1 share receiving 1,400 VND. With more than 251 million shares in circulation, the company needs to spend more than 352 billion VND to pay dividends.
Many businesses delay dividend payments due to difficulties
Or Licogi Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (stock code LQN) announced the 6th adjustment of the time for the 2nd interim dividend payment in 2015 in cash to September 30, 2025 instead of the payment date of September 29, 2023. The company said it has tried to work with partners to have funds, however, due to the prolonged difficult situation, the expected receivables from partners are not as expected, and more time is needed to balance cash resources.
Previously, Constrexim Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 8 (stock code CX8) also announced to postpone the payment of 2022 cash dividends to October 26 instead of September 29 as previously announced. The adjustment is due to some unexpected events, the source of money collected from the projects is not in accordance with the capital recovery plan, so more time is needed to balance the capital source so as not to affect the company's operations.
Meanwhile, AHP Eastern Minerals Joint Stock Company (stock code BMJ) is finalizing the shareholder list to seek written opinions on a number of issues. Specifically, the company requests to postpone the payment of cash dividends in 2022; approve the change of the offering purpose and the plan to use the proceeds from the share offering to existing shareholders; approve the change of business lines and amend the company charter... Previously, the company's 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders approved the payment of 2022 cash dividends at a rate of 5%.
