A delegation of overseas Vietnamese offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings.

On April 25 (the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month), a delegation of over 100 overseas Vietnamese delegates returning from more than 20 countries around the world, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Pham Quang Hieu, offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary - Hung Temple Festival in the year of Quy Mao 2023.

In a solemn atmosphere, before the spirit of the Hung Kings, overseas Vietnamese offered incense to show their respect and gratitude to their ancestors, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source"; praying for their ancestors to bless the country to be increasingly prosperous, for all families to be healthy and prosperous, affirming the country's position in the international arena; blessing the overseas Vietnamese community to always be healthy, united and contribute to the growth of the Vietnamese community and the nation. After the incense offering ceremony to commemorate the Hung Kings, the overseas Vietnamese delegation held a ceremony to report their achievements, pay tribute to their ancestors and plant a memorial tree at the Gieng Temple area.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Hieu said that organizing the overseas Vietnamese delegation to visit Hung Temple to offer incense to commemorate the Hung Kings, on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary - Hung Temple Festival every year, has contributed to raising people's awareness of their pride and honor in the heroic traditions of the nation, expressing gratitude to their ancestors, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" and strengthening the great national unity bloc. At the same time, it shows the care, affection and responsibility of the Party and State for overseas Vietnamese, better meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of the people, and encouraging generations of overseas Vietnamese to continue the fine traditions of our ancestors for thousands of years.
In the afternoon of the same day, the overseas Vietnamese delegation is expected to offer incense at the Temple of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan at Sim Hill, part of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site; visit the ancient village of Hung Lo and listen to Xoan singing at Hung Lo communal house, Hung Lo commune, Viet Tri city.

According to the program of the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation, on April 26, the Delegation will move to Thanh Thuy district, offer incense at the National Historical Relic at Lang Suong Temple and participate in a number of other activities in the district.
