The Provincial National Assembly Delegation supervises the implementation of preferential policies and support for housing and land for meritorious people in Thanh Chuong.

On the afternoon of August 22, the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province supervised the topic "Implementation of preferential policies and support on housing and land for people with revolutionary contributions" in Thanh Chuong district .

The delegation included Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Nhat Minh - Full-time delegate, Provincial National Assembly Delegation; representatives of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The provincial National Assembly delegation visited Mr. Truong Huy Thoa's family in block 2A, a beneficiary of housing.

Before the working session, the delegation surveyed the actual situation at 2 families of meritorious people in Thanh Chuong town, including: Mr. Truong Huy Khoa's family in block 2A, who is a beneficiary of housing, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai's family in block 3A, who is a beneficiary of the residential land policy.

Overview of the working session.

As the district with the third largest number of meritorious people in the province, Thanh Chuong currently has 6,554 meritorious people. Regarding housing incentives, through a review in 2022, the whole district has 851 households needing support to build houses, of which 351 households will be newly built and 500 households will be renovated. In 2024, the whole district will have 781 households needing support for housing. Of which 381 houses will be newly built and 423 houses will be renovated.

Mr. Le Dinh Thanh - Vice Chairman of Thanh Chuong District People's Committee reported on the results of implementing preferential policies for meritorious people regarding housing and land in the district.

In the past time, the District People's Committee has coordinated with the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs to support and build 15 new houses for relatives of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions with a total cost of nearly 790 million VND. Regarding land incentives from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2024, the district has exempted and reduced land use fees for 7 cases with over 2.3 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Duong - Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Chuong District People's Council spoke at the meeting.

At the conference, the delegation members focused on discussing and raising some difficulties in implementing support and preferential policies on housing and land for people with revolutionary contributions in the district.

Ms. Luc Thi Lien - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society, Provincial People's Council spoke at the meeting.

Concluding the working session, Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation highly appreciated the attention and participation of the Party Committee, the government and socio-political organizations in Thanh Chuong district for the meritorious people in the area. She also suggested that in the coming time, the District People's Committee should study and advise the District Party Committee to propose solutions to overcome shortcomings in implementing preferential policies for meritorious people; Pay more attention to meritorious people, prioritize resources to support meritorious people in the area.
