Dong Hoi Airport will welcome the first international flight from Taipei on March 31, 2025

(Quang Binh Portal) - According to information from Dong Hoi Airport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has issued Flight License No. LD-1046/03/2025VN on March 25, 2025 allowing Vietjet Air to operate international flights from Dong Hoi Airport (VDH) - Taipei International Airport (TPE) - Dong Hoi Airport (VDH).

Accordingly, the VDH - TPE - VDH route will start operating from March 31, 2025. From March 31 to October 13, 2025, there will be 26 flights (equivalent to 13 round trips) with flight codes VJ7172 (Dong Hoi - Taipei) and VJ7173 (Taipei - Dong Hoi), operated by A320/A321 aircraft.

Currently, Dong Hoi Airport has prepared well the conditions to organize the first flight on March 31, 2025, VJ7172 (12:40 15:40) and VJ7173 (16:40 19:40) (local time) and the following flights.

Vietjet Air said that the Dong Hoi - Taipei flight is the first international charter flight opened at Dong Hoi Airport, with an average of about 80 passengers/flight.

The VDH - TPE - VDH flight route will open up opportunities for promoting Quang Binh tourism to the Taiwanese and international tourist markets, while also creating momentum for promoting and opening new international routes. In particular, the implementation of the T2 Passenger Terminal Construction Project and the expansion of Dong Hoi Airport's parking lot will contribute to improving the capacity of Dong Hoi Airport to receive tourists by air, creating opportunities for Quang Binh tourism to accelerate its development.
