Provincial People's Committee received the Deputy Consul General of China in Da Nang

(BD) - On the afternoon of March 28, the Provincial People's Committee held a courtesy reception for Mr. Duong Thuan Phong, Deputy Consul General of China in Da Nang City. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang chaired the reception, with the participation of representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units.

Comrade Lam Hai Giang informed Mr. Duong Thuan Phong about the highlights of Binh Dinh province's socio-economic development in 2024, along with the directions for the province's development in the coming time, including becoming a new destination attracting many domestic and international investors. At the same time, he said that the province currently has 20 projects, with a total registered investment capital of more than 229 million USD from Chinese investors, most of which have been effectively implemented. Two-way trade turnover between Binh Dinh province and China will continue to maintain growth momentum in 2024.

Comrade Lam Hai Giang suggested that Mr. Duong Thuan Phong and the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang continue to promote their role as focal points, actively promoting cooperation and friendly exchanges between Binh Dinh province and Chinese localities and partners in the coming time. Besides the economic field, the two sides need to expand cooperation in the fields of culture, education, health and many other fields.

Mr. Duong Thuan Phong highly appreciated the development efforts of Binh Dinh province in recent times. He thanked and requested Binh Dinh province to support and create favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises that are investing and will invest in the future.

Mr. Duong Thuan Phong discussed and agreed with comrade Lam Hai Giang to strengthen connections, aiming to expand cooperation activities in various fields; organize bilateral meetings, people-to-people exchanges; have cooperation and twinning between Binh Dinh province and Chinese localities. In the coming time, the two sides will have specific exchanges so that Binh Dinh youth can actively participate in cooperation and exchange activities between the youth of Vietnam and China.
