On the morning of October 7, within the framework of the visit and working program in Ninh Binh, the high-ranking delegation of Vientiane Capital, Laos led by Comrade Athsaphangthong Siphandone, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mayor of Vientiane Capital, visited and surveyed the Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Factory No. 2 (Gian Khau Industrial Park Expansion).
Accompanying the delegation were comrade Nguyen Cao Son, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board.
Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Factory No. 2 is a factory officially inaugurated by Thanh Cong Group and Hyundai Motor Group at the end of 2022.
The factory is built on an area of 50 hectares of the expanded Gian Khau Industrial Park with a total registered investment capital of over 3,200 billion VND, and a designed capacity of 100,000 passenger cars/year.
The factory's operation will increase the total production and assembly capacity of Hyundai vehicles in Ninh Binh province to 180,000 vehicles/year.
With the policy of being at the forefront of technology and being environmentally friendly, the factory applies the world's most modern technical platform to production, ensuring strict emission standards Euro 5.0 and Euro 6.0, while prioritizing the maximum use of green energy in the production process.
The factory's operation is a new step forward in improving the production capacity and supply of Hyundai vehicles, meeting the increasingly high and diverse needs of the market, contributing to realizing the common development strategy of the two Groups, continuing to contribute more to the development of the Vietnamese automobile industry, as well as the socio-economic development of the locality and the country.
Thus, after 15 years of construction and development, the Hyundai Automobile Joint Venture and Thanh Cong Group have had 8 investment projects in Gian Khau Industrial Park with a total registered investment capital of over 12,000 billion VND, and a land area of over 115 hectares. The projects are all operating effectively and have made great contributions to the socio-economic development of Ninh Binh province, in which the production and assembly output of automobiles increases every year.
During the survey trip, the high-ranking delegation of Vientiane Capital visited the production lines, learned about the construction and operation of Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Factory No. 2; and the experience and effectiveness of Ninh Binh in implementing the province's policies and orientations to attract investment in industrial production - that is, developing green, clean, and environmentally friendly industry.
Through the survey, the Delegation congratulated the successes of Thanh Cong Group and the province in developing industrial production and expressed confidence in the further development of Thanh Cong Group, thereby contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Ninh Binh province in the coming time.
