On the morning of October 13, a high-ranking delegation from Asan City, South Korea, led by the Mayor of the city, visited and surveyed the Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Factory No. 2, located in the expanded Gian Khau Industrial Park. Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Cao Son, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.
The delegation visited the production lines, learned about the construction and operation of Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Factory No. 2; and the experience and effectiveness of Ninh Binh in implementing the province's policies and orientations to attract investment in industrial production.
Factory No. 2 was officially inaugurated by Thanh Cong Group and Hyundai Motor Group at the end of 2022, built on an area of over 50 hectares, located in the expanded Gian Khau Industrial Park with a total registered investment capital of over VND 3,200 billion, designed capacity of 100,000 passenger cars/year. Thereby, increasing the total production and assembly capacity of Hyundai cars in Ninh Binh province by 2025, expected to reach 180,000 cars/year.
After 16 years of construction and development, the Hyundai Automobile Joint Venture and Thanh Cong Group have had 8 investment projects in Gian Khau Industrial Park, Ninh Binh Province with a total registered investment capital of over 12 trillion VND, and a land area of over 115 hectares. All projects are operating effectively and have made great contributions to the socio-economic development of Ninh Binh Province, in which the production and assembly of automobiles has increased every year.
During the survey, the high-ranking delegation of Asan City expressed their gratitude and joy at seeing that the Korean Hyundai Group had built a modern and developed factory in Ninh Binh. At the same time, they highly appreciated the province's investment attraction policies, which have created favorable conditions for businesses to develop production.
In addition, the delegation was also impressed with the diligence, hard work and dedication of Vietnamese workers in general and Ninh Binh in particular, considering these factors to attract foreign investment resources to the locality. Along with that, he highly appreciated the relationship between Asan city and Ninh Binh province, hoping that the relationship will develop more closely and better for the localities to develop together.
In his response, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son thanked the delegation for visiting Ninh Binh province in general and Hyundai Thanh Cong Automobile Factory in particular. He also said that the Factory has made important contributions to industrial output and the provincial budget.
Every year, Hyundai Thanh Cong contributes approximately 50-60% of the provincial budget, thereby helping Ninh Binh balance its budget. Along with that, the enterprise also actively participates in social security work and major cultural events of the province.
In recent years, the number of Korean enterprises investing in Ninh Binh has increased, to date there are over 50 enterprises, mainly focusing on automobile auxiliary manufacturing industries such as seats, exhaust pipes, electricity, etc. Currently, Ninh Binh is one of the three largest automobile manufacturing centers nationwide. He hopes that large Korean corporations will continue to invest in Ninh Binh. The province will create all possible conditions in terms of infrastructure, administrative procedures, and the best possible incentive policies so that enterprises can feel secure in investing.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son introduced to the delegation the achievements in the fields of industry, trade, agriculture, tourism, handicrafts, services, traditional handicraft products, typical specialties, OCOP products displayed and exhibited at the Ninh Binh Typical Rural Industrial Products Fair 2023.
The fair attracted the participation of more than 200 units and enterprises with more than 250 standard booths. This is an opportunity for enterprises and consumers to exchange, access markets, promote, cooperate in investment, and link to create an effective supply chain. At the same time, develop brands, enhance the competitiveness of rural industrial products of Ninh Binh in relation to other regions, creating opportunities for products to access target markets, especially export markets.
The delegation expressed their impression of the rich and unique products displayed, introduced and promoted at the Fair, especially local agricultural products and handicrafts, and hoped to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture and tourism to develop the socio-economy, bringing benefits to local people.
