Ha Tran was born in 1977 in Hanoi, in a family with a musical tradition. Her father is People's Artist Tran Hieu, her mother is excellent teacher Vu Thuy Huyen, former head of the Vocal Music Department, Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now Vietnam National Academy of Music), her uncle is musician Tran Tien.

Ha Tran said that at first she started singing with a weak, out-of-tune voice and an undistinguished appearance. People's Artist Tran Hieu did not want Ha Tran to pursue this career because he found her voice "very faint". But Ha Tran was a very determined person so he could not stop his daughter from pursuing a musical career.

In 1995, after graduating from the Vocal College, she continued to study and graduated from the University, Vocal Department, Hanoi Conservatory of Music in 2000. After many years of practice and training, Ha's singing voice has improved a lot. She began to receive her first awards: Promising Young Artist Award in the Hanoi Good Voice Contest 1993; First Prize in the National Student Singing Contest 1994...

After that, she "shined" when performing popular songs at that time. In 1999, Ha Tran released her first studio album called Em ve tinh khoi , edited by musician Quoc Bao. Many songs in this album were loved by the public such as: Em ve tinh khoi, Loi ru cho con, Toc gio thoi bay and Ngay em den... She was called a Diva of the music industry by the audience alongside: Thanh Lam, Hong Nhung, My Linh.

When her career was at its peak, Ha Tran married Binh Doan - a music producer, the two dated for 3 months before getting married. They moved to the US in 2004 and she no longer worked as much in the arts in Vietnam as before.

Sharing with the media about the reason for immigrating to the US, Ha Tran said that in Vietnam, she was raised in a musical environment and had a lucky career, but she decided to move to the US to have more challenges.

"Many people also asked Ha, why did she move to America at the peak of her career? I love this place (Vietnam) but I left because I felt I needed a wider sky. Maybe when I flew there, I was just a small, lost, nameless bird, but I needed a bigger space, bigger challenges to contain me," Ha Tran shared.

The 46-year-old singer added that in the first years in the US, she went to work and lived normally but her heart always turned to Vietnam. Many times when she was sleeping, she dreamed of meeting acquaintances and friends in Vietnam, but when she opened her eyes, she found herself in the US, so she had many emotional feelings.

The Diva shared that in America, she, like many other housewives, still does housework and cooks for her husband and children. She also takes care of her daughter little by little.

"Apart from music, I'm very boring. Like other mothers, I wake up at 7am, cook breakfast, take my daughter Nala to school, then come back to exercise, check my email to see what needs to be done in Vietnam. Then I go to the market, cook rice, have lunch and prepare to pick up my child at 2:30pm.

After that, the two of us play together or take her to after-school classes. I read to her before she goes to bed. Then it's time for me to prepare and practice for the shows," she said about her daily schedule.

Ha Tran likes loneliness, she knows what she needs and knows how to nurture her emotions. For her, a lonely artist will have more energy for music.

"I'm lonely because it's hard to find someone who understands me. I think creative people need to be alone to have more time to work. I rejuvenate by being alone," she confided.

Recently, the Vietnamese music Diva has been more interested in Vietnam. She accepts shows and every time she appears in front of the audience, she makes the audience love her because of her beautiful voice. For Ha Tran, music always makes her younger and more energetic.

Diva Tran also shared about her father - People's Artist Tran Hieu. When her mother passed away, each family member faced this loss in a different way. As for her, she chose to live a quiet life, turning to poetry and music as a form of therapy.

Not long after, People's Artist Tran Hieu moved out to live on his own. Ha Tran said that although she was still young, she understood and loved him, but she did not blame him because she realized that: "Dad had to continue his life and really needed someone to take care of him." Later, the image of his mother and music were the bridges that brought father and son closer together.

To People's Artist Tran Hieu, Ha Tran is always his spoiled little daughter. Every time Ha Tran returns home, father and daughter still have emotional reunions.

The female singer said that her father was both a lecturer and a performing artist, and also wrote research books; her uncle was a musician and singer... so from a young age, Ha Tran had a strong belief in her artistic path, that she would definitely follow her own path.
