Coming to Nong Cong today, we can feel a countryside that is on the way to renewal. Traffic routes and cultural and sports facilities have been invested in spaciously and synchronously. Especially, the cultural and sports movement has been widely launched, thereby promoting the spirit of solidarity in the community, becoming a driving force to promote sustainable local socio-economic development.

That change is the result of persistent, creative and effective implementation of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" (TDĐKXDĐSVH). According to the 5 contents and 7 movements of the TDĐKXDĐSVH movement, in 2023 Nong Cong district continued to achieve positive results. Specifically, the movement to build cultural families and cultural residential areas achieved relatively high results. Up to now, the whole district has 79.2% of households recognized as cultural families; 87.5% of villages, hamlets and sub-regions recognized as cultural residential areas. The implementation of civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals has many positive changes. Currently, most weddings and funerals are organized in a civilized and economical manner, in accordance with traditional customs and traditions, without loud music, past the prescribed time... Cultural institutions are built synchronously from the district to the grassroots level. 100% of communes and towns have cultural and sports centers; 100% of villages have cultural houses and sports areas.
In order for the movement of physical training and sports to develop widely, the district has promoted the dissemination of all contents and movements to many people in many forms. From there, raising awareness and action for people to implement the movement of physical training and sports to build cultural life as well as local activities. The district also directed to include the main targets and tasks of the movement of physical training and sports to build cultural life in resolutions and linked with local and unit activities.
The highlight in implementing the movement of physical training and sports for building cultural life in Nong Cong district is the effective mobilization and implementation of the movement to build cultural families and residential areas; cultural communes, wards, and towns; cultural agencies and units. Every year, the Steering Committee of the movement of physical training and sports for building cultural life in Nong Cong district has advised the District Party Committee, People's Committee, and People's Council to develop programs and plans related to the contents of the movement. At the same time, the implementation of the movement of physical training and sports for building cultural life is linked to the program of building new rural areas, focusing on improving the quality of cultural contents and criteria in building new rural areas.
In localities, the registration, evaluation and proposal for recognition of cultural families are carried out publicly, democratically and in accordance with regulations, so the quantity and quality of cultural families are increasingly improved. Thanks to that, the movement has spread widely to every residential area and every household, creating a wave of exciting competition, contributing to preserving the cultural values of Vietnamese families and building a cultural environment.
In addition, the Steering Committee of the Movement for Physical Training and Sports in Nong Cong District has advised the District People's Committee to effectively implement the construction and amendment of village and neighborhood conventions in accordance with the general development situation and that of each locality. The content of the conventions closely follows the actual situation, clearly stipulating issues such as security and order, environmental sanitation, weddings, funerals, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, forest protection and development, and elimination of bad customs... The conventions have become common rules of conduct for individuals in the community, thanks to which many substandard behaviors have been adjusted, and people have moved towards civilized behavior. The effective implementation of the conventions has promoted the movement to build cultural families and cultural residential areas.
Along with focusing on implementing the movement of building cultural families, Nong Cong district has paid attention to and created favorable conditions for organizing sports and art competitions so that cultural and sports activities can develop vigorously. Cultural and sports exchange programs and competitions are not only organized at the district level but are also regularly held in communes, towns, agencies and units, creating a healthy playground, strengthening solidarity, love and attachment, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural traditions of the homeland. In particular, the district and communes and towns have paid attention to allocating land funds and promoting socialization to build cultural and sports institutions to meet the living needs of the people.
In order for the movement to develop more and more widely, Nong Cong district will continue to promote the achieved results, good and creative ways of doing things. In particular, focusing on improving the quality of cultural activities and movements; mobilizing all resources in completing, managing and exploiting cultural and sports institutions in the district.
