Located in Eastern Siberia, Russia, Lake Baikal is a unique natural wonder and has unparalleled beauty in the world. Many famous songs, poems, and folk songs were written about this lake.

This is the deepest freshwater lake in the world. The bottom of the lake is at a depth of up to 1,642m. At the same time, the lake has the largest freshwater reserve in the world, accounting for about 20% of the world's freshwater reserves. According to calculations, this amount of water is enough for all of humanity for 40 years.

Covering an area of 31,722 square kilometers and considered a resort paradise, the landscape around the lake has always remained pristine. The lake's surface is like a giant mirror reflecting the majestic rocky mountains with layers of birch trees. The emerald green water is so clear that even at a depth of tens of meters, you can still see pebbles and creatures at the bottom of the lake.

Lake Baikal also has an extremely rich flora and fauna, home to more than 2,500 species of flora and fauna, of which two-thirds only live and grow here. Some famous rare animals include the Baikal Nerpa seal, the unique Golomianka fish with a transparent body and giving birth to live young instead of laying eggs like normal fish.

Summer in Baikal is very short, lasting only 2 and a half months, but you can still see icebergs on the lake in early June. Winter in Baikal is a beautiful natural picture. The frozen lake surface is transparent, reflecting the bright sunlight, creating a poetic scene like in a fairy tale. Therefore, more and more tourists come to Baikal to admire the beauty of winter here.

The flat plateau in the western part of the Ural Mountains, Troitsko-Perchorsky District, Komi Republic, is home to seven strangely shaped stone pillars. This is the home of the Mansi, Komi and Russian peoples. According to legend, the seven Manpupuner stone pillars in the middle of the plateau are giants who were turned to stone after a fateful encounter with a white-faced shaman.

These seven giant stone pillars are 30 to 42 meters high and were created by nature over millions of years. The stone pillars have unique shapes and hold many cultural and historical meanings for local people.

Formed about 200 million years ago, this area used to be high mountains. But due to time and weather, they have gradually eroded and become the special shapes as they are now. For the Mansi people, these rock formations are sacred places and they are not allowed to climb them for fear of committing a sin.

Manpupuner is an attractive tourist destination when coming to Russia, giving visitors unforgettable experiences of wild and majestic nature.
